Vigeo Eiris is recruiting an IT Manager

ASAP / Permanent position / Casablanca


Vigeo Eiris are looking for an experienced IT Team Manager to join our new IT team in Casablanca. The main responsibilities of the role will be to ensure day to day management of the team in Casablanca while ensuring progress towards global project goals and planning. You will have experience in IT development and project management. You will report directly to the Global IT Manager.



Under the responsibility of the Global IT Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Day to day management of  the  team on site to ensure projects and workloads are being managed and under control, including:
    • Supervising the development, release and implementation of projects in line with global priorities and direction
    • Distributing and allocating the  workload and projects to team members
    • Ensuring that project deadlines are being met
    • Approving and managing time tracking, leave and absences
    • Performing skills and performance management interviews
    • Ensuring adequate operation of IT services in relation to the Casablanca site
    • Arbitrating when there are conflicting priorities
    • Assisting other managers who may be directly responsible for IT team members onsite
  • Contribution to global project planning and workload estimation
  • Contribution to the IT system architecture and service requirements
  • Contribute to the overall global assessment of service requirements and evolution of systems
  • Management and compliance with approved local site budgets


Candidate Profile:

  • Engineer or Computer Science (or IT relevant) Bachelor or Master
  • Excellent English level
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in team management
  • Ability and experience in development of IT applications
  • Knowledge of PHP OO, JQuery, Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML5 and MySQL. Java knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and provide solutions to those problems
  • Ability to manage and conduct IT projects in line with expected deliverables and outcomes
  • Ability to write good quality technical documentation
  • Ability to take initiative to make decisions and actions within the scope of your responsibilities
  • Ability to create a positive and effective working environment within your team
  • Motivated and independent in the tasks of team management and project development
  • Ability to adapt and be open minded regarding proposed solutions and expected developments
  • Effective communication to team members and wider stakeholders of projects
