Vigeo Eiris is recruiting a Specialised Researcher – sustainable goods & services

Permanent Contract / Full Time / Bagnolet (line 3 Gallieni)

The Specialised Researcher will work within the Sustainable Goods & Services (SGS) team at Vigeo Eiris. SGS, part of the Specialised Research division, is a positive screening product which identifies and analyses companies’ involvement in products or services that are considered sustainable and contribute positively to the environment and society.

Missions

Under the direction of the Sustainable Goods & Services Product Manager, the researcher will be responsible for:

  • Primary research

– Identify, collect, and summarise all relevant available information and documentation (financial reporting, sustainability reporting, investor presentations, etc.)
– Assess a company’s direct activities and those linked with its subsidiaries
– Write a qualitative synthesis of a company’s involvement in sustainable goods/services
– Calculate or estimate quantitative data
– Contribute to other ad-hoc tasks as needed
– Upon building a generalist level of product knowledge across all sectors, themes, or industries within the research line, develop an expertise in select sector or areas
– Monitor ESG market debates and contribute to the team or division’s discussions

  • Product support

– Contribute to quality assurance
– Provide support for client inquiries and other sales enablement activities
– Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing product content, optimising processes, and improving client experience

Skills

  • Understanding of and strong interest in sustainable development and responsible investment
  • Master’s degree in related discipline and/or relevant experience in ESG or financial research
  • Ability to collect, analyse and synthesise information from various sources to create a meaningful analysis
  • Able to carry out primary research across all sectors, themes, or industries covered by the research line
  • Microsoft Office Pack (Word, Excel, PPT) with proven ability to manage large datasets in Excel
  • Mastery of the English language (Vigeo Eiris working language)
  • Strong writing and communication skills; able to articulate analytical viewpoints
  • Organisation, rigour, ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously, under the supervision and support of a team
  • Critical thinker and solutions-focused; self-motivated and able to work in cross-geographical and cross-cultural settings
