Beyond research and analysis, Vigeo Eiris positions itself as an actor open to dialogue and keen to promote social responsibility and responsible investment to civil society organisations – NGOs, trade unions and international organisations.

In addition to its scientific partnerships, Vigeo Eiris is devoted to:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key institutional players among its stakeholders: the investment community, asset managers, professional federations and labour unions, civil society and intergovernmental networks
  • Contributing to the creation of an environment favourable to social responsibility and responsible investment development
  • Contributing to informed decision-making
  • Taking part in the activities and governance of multi-stakeholder structures in our sphere of influence and activity

Comité 21
Vigeo Eiris is a member of Comité 21 since 2015. Created after the 1992 Rio conference, Comité 21 aims at implementing sustainable development in organizations, companies and territories. It has been a forerunner in engaging sustainable development issues amongst various stakeholders in France. This unique network counting more than 500 members bases its action on multi-actors partnerships, operational action and innovation with more than 130 businesses (multinational companies and SMEs), 185 local authorities (city councils, departments and regions), 185 NGOs (environmental, development, local solidarity, human rights…), 32 public institutes and higher education institutions.

Eurosif, UKSIF, FIR
Vigeo Eiris is a member of the European Sustainable Investment Forum. Eurosif Eurosif is the leading pan-European sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) membership organisation whose mission is to promote sustainability through European financial markets. Eurosif works as a partnership of Europe-based national Sustainable Investment Fora (SIFs) with the direct support of their network which spans over 400 Europe-based organisations drawn from the sustainable investment industry value chain. These organisations include institutional investors, asset managers, financial services, index providers and ESG research and analysis firms totalling over €8 trillion in total assets. Vigeo Eiris is also a member of the French and UK SIF.

Forum Ethibel
Belgian independent association working to increase individual and institutional investors’ awareness of the ethical values it promotes. Forum Ethibel is a shareholder of Vigeo Eiris, and its members include well-known associations and NGOs such as Hefboom, Crédal, Réseau Financement Alternatif, Centre National de Coopération au ‎Développement, etc. Based on Vigeo Eiris’ research, Forum Ethibel produces the Ethibel ‎Ethical Investment Register.

Fondation EIRIS
The EIRIS Foundation is a UK-based leading charity operating in the field of responsible investment. The foundation is committed to helping organisations and individuals maximise their contribution to the responsible business and investment agenda. Its mission is to use research, analysis and influence to identify gaps, barriers, opportunities and enablers so that it can help organisations and individuals maximise their contribution to the responsible business and investment agenda. The EIRIS Foundation holds 19% of Vigeo’s share capital since 2015.

GISR
Launched in June 2011 as a joint project of Ceres and Tellus Institute, both non-profit research and educational entities, the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR) is a public benefit organization aimed at making financial markets agents of, rather than impediments to, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and broader global sustainability agenda. As a multi-stakeholder initiative with the public interest at its core, GISR’s vision is to transform the definition of corporate value in the 21st century such that markets reward the preservation and enhancement of all forms of capital – human, intellectual, natural, social and financial. GRI – Global Reporting Initiative
Vigeo Eiris is a GRI Gold member since 2017. GRI is an international independent organisation that helps businesses, governments and other organizations understand and communicate the impact of business on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, corruption and many others. GRI provides sustainability reporting guidelines that enable organisations to consider their impacts of wide range of sustainability issues, enabling them to be more transparent about the risks and opportunities they face.

Global Compact
Vigeo Eiris is a signatory of Global Compact since 2003. The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to undertake strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation. More than 12 000 signatories from 170 countries contribute to this initiative.

Orée
Vigeo Eiris is a member of Orée since 2012. Orée is a non profit organization founded in 1992, that brings companies and local authorities together so as to develop a thought process on their environmental impacts and, in particular, on environmental management and its practical implementation at the landscape level. This NGO provides concrete solution for its network of members and provides insights on three main issues : Biodiversity and Economics; Circular Economy; CSR reporting and Businesses local impact : oree.org

ILO
As the sole ‘tripartite’ UN agency, the ILO brings together government representatives, employers and workers from the 187 member states with the purpose of establishing international norms, developing policies and designing programs dedicated to the promotion of decent labour for all men and women around the world. The partnership between Vigeo Eiris and the ILO provides the latter with an access to the agency’s database for subsequent publications and scientific work.

PRI
Vigeo Eiris is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and Peter Webster, director for international affairs, seats at the Board . Launched in 2006, The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole.

Transparency International France
Transparency International France is the French branch of Transparency International, a global initiative driven by a single vision: a world in which states, companies, civil society and individuals would be spared from all forms of corruption. With more than 100 branches in the world and an International Secretariat in Berlin the organisation is conducting a fight against corruption to make this vision a reality. In 2010 Vigeo announced its decision to rate the ‘transparency and integrity of influence strategies and practices’ of listed companies; the definition of this new criterion has been realised in collaboration with Transparency International France. Three years later a study observing and comparing the behaviour of 745 European and American companies in their implementation of influence policies was published.

RHSF – Human Resources Without Borders
RHSF is an international NGO created in 2006 and operating in the field of ‘Human rights in the supply chain’. Through its partnership with Vigeo Eiris RHSF has conducted projects related to CSR in the supply chain in Asia, where the organisation has an office in Shenzhen.
